IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deborah Lynn
Gold
July 27, 1951 – May 31, 2023
Deborah Lynn Gold, age 71, died Wednesday, May 31, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born July 27, 1951, in Chicopee, MA, to William (Bill) and Verna Scott. Debbie was the daughter of a United States Airforce serviceman which involved them traveling all over the world during her childhood.
Debbie served as a "candy striper" during the Vietnam War at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines. She also made lifelong friends in Rüsselsheim, Germany along with her first time of attending Oktoberfest in Munich. Finally her Father settled into Tinker Air Force Base in Del City, Oklahoma where Debbie attended Del City High School. During high school Debbie worked for her Mother (Verna) at the T-Bone Restaurant in Oklahoma City. After graduating in the Spring of 1970 she worked many different types of jobs.
The most important job Debbie got was working for Kerr-McGee where she met the love of her life Leon Gold. Debbie's dream was always to have a strong family like her Mom and Dad. She created that home with Leon and after a very long wait she had their son Sean. She also had a giving heart and if you got to know her you became a part of her family. Debbie enjoyed quilting, bible study class, reading, and making new friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Debbie is survived by her husband Leon, her son Sean, her brother Billy Scott, her sister Sandy Scott, and her brother Alan Scott.
