Our beloved Debbie passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at her home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 61. Debra Fern Blount was born on April 6, 1954 in Gardena, California, to her parents, Neal Finlay Blount and Gay W. (Larimore) Blount Hicks. Her family relocated to the Oklahoma City metro area in 1955. A 1972 graduate of Choctaw High School, Debbie worked in a variety of career fields, including serving as a surgery scrub tech at Deaconess Hospital and later Elk City Hospital; working the information desk with the Oklahoma City Police Department; and finally enjoying many years of service with Farmers Insurance Company, retiring in 2014. Always the one to be counted on "to get things done and done right," Debbie was also a compassionate, loving, and giving person who always put others before herself. She enjoyed cooking (especially baking), playing cards, reading, gardening, and bringing family together. Debbie was preceded in death by her: Husband, James Munson Branch, on January 2, 2014. Debbie is survived by her: Father and stepmother, Neal and Pat Blount of Independence, Kansas; Mother, Gay Hicks of Oklahoma City; Sister, Trina Hunter and her husband, Jerry of Oklahoma City; Brother, Terry Blount and his wife, Louise of Virginia; Brother, Tim Blount of Oklahoma City; Step-sister, Heidi Oliver and her husband, Shawn of Elk City, Kansas; Her beloved nieces and nephews: Jennifer Hunter Pettit and husband, Steve, Craig Hunter, and Kaitlyn Hunter of Oklahoma City; Terry Blount, Jr. and his wife, Danielle of Wichita, Kansas; Audrey Norton and her husband, Josiah of Purcell, OK; Olivia Blount of Norman, OK; Nate Walker of Ft.
