Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Thurs, Sept. 10, 2015 with the family present to greet friends from 6-8 PM. Services to celebrate his life will be 10:00 AM Fri., Sept. 11, 2015 at Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary, 6934 S. Western Ave. with burial following at Sawyer Cemetery, Hugo, OK.

Delbert, 87, was called to his Heavenly home on Sept. 6, 2015. He was born Aug. 16, 1928 in Apple, OK to Lenard Drew & Edith (Denton) Stanfield. Delbert was employed as a baker with Rainbow Bread Co. for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mildred Louise (McGinley); brother, Jewell Stanfield; sisters, Duetta Stanfield-Hoskins, Helen Stanfield-Green, & Geraldine Stanfield-Walker & grandson, Scott Drew Stanfield, daughter-in-law, Glynda Stanfield, & Susie Davis, who was like a daughter to him. Delbert is survived by his sons, Delbert, Jr. & Clifford; daughter, Jeanne Stanfield; brother, Wilburn Stanfield; granddaughters, Traci Long & husband, Nik, & Rebecca Watts & husband, Donnie; great-grandchildren, Blane & Zevin Long, Clear Johnson, Brantley & Donnie Watts, IV; niece, Janie Hooper, who was like a daughter to him & her husband, Robbie; The Arkansas girls; Craig-O; & many other family members & friends.
