IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Diana
Maxwell
January 15, 1941 – February 26, 2011
Diana "Gail" Maxwell, 70, of Yukon, Oklahoma, passed away February 26, 2011 to be in a better place after a long battle with COPD. Gail was born January 15, 1941 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She married her high school sweetheart Doug Coleman and together they had three sons, Chuck, Chris (deceased) and Carl (deceased). As life sometimes goes, Gail and her husband Doug went their separate ways. She later met Billy Maxwell and they married shortly thereafter and together enjoyed the best years of their lives during their 31 years of marriage. Gail had a long career in the real estate closing and title business, working at Sooner Federal in Norman and then at Warranty Title in Oklahoma City and Yukon where she was a loan closer and office manager. She retired from the title business but remained active in supporting various charities and activities including the Oklahoma Air National Guard where she chaired the Air Guard's Family Support Group during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Gail was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by:
• her parents, Ellis C. and Viola (Higbee) McNutt
• Sister Mary Evans
• And two sons Roy Christopher and Carl Von Coleman.
She is survived by:
• Her husband of 31 years Billy Maxwell of the home
• Son, Charles D. Coleman of Carrollton, Texas
• Stepdaughter Julie Jackson of Moore, Oklahoma
• And loving grandchildren and great grandchildren
The family would like to give a special thanks to entire staff of Russell-Murray Hospice of El Reno, Oklahoma for the excellent care they gave to Gail during her illness. The staff went beyond the call of duty in all things great and small, from nurturing Gail to even helping with household duties.
