Dixie and Beebe lived most of their lives and raised their family in Laverne, Oklahoma where they were faithful members of the Apostolic Faith Church. They moved to Oklahoma City in the 1990's and became members of the Cherokee Hills Baptist Church.

Dixie was preceded in death by her husband Beebe and son Blaine; her parents Richard and Pearl; her sisters Christina, Billie, Betty, Maxine, Helen and Kathryn; and brother Harry.
