Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of D.L. "Dick" Adcock. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 6th, 2024. Dick was born on December 7, 1937, in Naples, Tx, to Dalton and Dessie Adcock. He was the oldest of four boys- D.L., Vernon, Jimmy, and Elton "Rabbit".

Dick lived a very full life. He was a racecar driver, a diesel mechanic, a garbage man, a two time inventor, a truck driver, and a business owner. He and his wife, Nona, attended and raised their family at Hillcrest Christian Church for over 40 years. His faith and family were the most important things to Dick. Together, they had six kids, nine grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Their home was full of family, friends, and laughter. Dick always had a joke or clever anecdote to make you laugh, a piece of gum to share, and a hug to give. He was everyone's "Grandpa", and he will be deeply missed by many.

Dick is preceded in death by his parents, Dalton and Dessie Adcock; two brothers, Vernon and Elton Adcock; grandson Kristopher Sanderson; and granddaughter Rian Sanderson. He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Nona; brother Jimmy Adcock and wife Vicki; daughter Patty Adcock Rodd; son Mike Adcock Rodd and wife Huyanhtruc; daughter Kelly Heistand and husband Doug; daughter Tracy Larson and husband Eric; son David Adcock and wife Carla; son Lonnie Malone and wife Crystal; grandson Clinton Gilbey; grandson Curtis Gilbey and wife Shailey; granddaughter Stephanie Dubuc and husband Kyle; granddaughter Danielle Eikel and husband Justin; granddaughter Richelle Little and husband Greg; grandson Michael Adcock; grandson Caleb Sanderson and wife Allie; grandson William Malone; and great-grandchildren Victoria, Casey, Mason, Logan, Bristol, Makenzi, Kinley, Kamden, Marley, Landon, Eli, Jacob, and Dorothy.
