Donald Dwight Brown was born on February 11, 1937, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The son of James Benjamin Brown and Floy Mae (Langham), and grew up in Oklahoma City.

Don was married in 1957 and had three children: Scott, Rex and Kevin. The family lived in Oklahoma.

Later in life, Don met Linda Beattie in Ponca City, Oklahoma and they married on June 23, 1995. After spending their honeymoon on a cruise ship to the Bahamas, Don and Linda made their home in Oklahoma City and recently celebrated 28 years of marriage together.

Don enjoyed playing golf weekly for many years at many municipal golf courses, with his golf buddies. Over the last few years, Don enjoyed playing at the Earlywine Golf Course, with his good friend, Gary Patterson. Don also enjoyed watching OU football games.

Don worked for over fifty years as a pipefitter, in Oklahoma City and areas outside of Oklahoma City. In 1965, Don became a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Local 344, and is recognized as a lifetime member for his 58 years with the union.

Don was preceded in death by his parents James and Floy Brown; wife, Linda Brown; son, Kevin Brown; and brothers James H. Brown, Jerry W. Brown, Michael K. Brown, and sister Beverly K. Patterson.
