Obituary

Donald (Don) Lee Felts, born July 3, 1928, in Tulsa, OK to Alpha Lee Marlin-Felts and George N. Felts, passed away at the age of 93 on December 14, 2021, surrounded by family.

Don graduated from Central High School in 1946 and attended the University of Oklahoma from 1946-1950. In 1950 he joined the United States Air Force and served in North Africa during the Korean War until 1953. Don then returned to the University of Oklahoma and graduated in 1954 with a degree in Marketing. He married Gloria Lee Lamar on March 16, 1951. Don worked at Ethicon, Inc from 1954-1957 then began a career in banking for 20 years before starting his own company in 1978 serving the bank community. He retired in 2015 at the age of 86.

Don was a very caring and loving husband, father and Papa. He made many friends and cherished memories during his school days, years in banking, involvement in his daughter's Scottish dance competitions and spending time at Lake Eufaula. Don enjoyed OU sports, watching sunsets at the lake, attending Liberty National Bank luncheons and Central High School reunions.

Don had a servant's heart. He was always willing to help others in need. He loved to tell stories about his past to anyone who would listen. He was a fun and funny guy and will be missed greatly.

Don was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Lee Felts, who he was married to for 70 years. He is survived by daughter Allyson Felts and daughter Tiffany Rea and husband John. He was Papa to 4 grandchildren, Kyndal Wilmot and husband Chris, Tanner Proffitt, Alex DiStefano and Jack Rea along with 3 great grandchildren, Mason Proffitt, Adalee Owens and Garrett Wilmot.

A private family service was held.
