Donald F. Gilbreath, fondly known as Don by his family and friends, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at the age of 83. The son of Harry and Alice Helen (Kerr) Gilbreath, Don was born on November 11, 1939, in Ninnekah, Oklahoma. Don grew up attending schools in the Tuttle area and graduated from Tuttle High School in 1957. Don married his sweetheart, Linda Lou Castle in 2008, and shared more than 20 years together. In addition to being a loving husband and devoted father, Don also worked as a tile layer for many years. Don liked being his own boss and working in the construction industry. He retired in 2001. A longtime member of Wilmont Place Baptist Church, Don was very passionate about living a life for the Lord and serving Jesus and others. He will be remembered as a devoted Christian man. Don also was an avid sports lover, who was known for his excellent bowling skills, enjoyed going to the lake and fishing for anything that was biting and thoroughly enjoyed watching football in any season. Don loved and cared deeply for his family. He will be held close to our hearts each day.
He was preceded in death by his:
Parents, Harry and Alice Helen (Kerr) Gilbreath;
Brothers: Charles W. "Mike" Gilbreath, Curtis P. Gilbreath, Leroy Y. "Red" Gilbreath, and Glenn H. Gilbreath;
Wife, Linda Lou Gilbreath.
He leaves behind his loving family:
Son, Kenneth Don Gilbreath;
Grandchildren: Nickie Dawn Toops and her husband, Richard Toops, Kevin Gilbreath and Shane Gilbreath;
Great Grandchildren: Lea Durbin, Billy Durbin and Jamie Gilbreath;
As well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
