Viewing will be at Vondel Smith South, Sunday March 20 from 12-8 PM, and Monday March 21, from 4-8 PM. The Plunkett family will greet friends on Sunday from 2-4 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at Southern Oaks Freewill Baptist Church (7201 S. Santa Fe OKC, OK) at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 22, 2022. In lieu of flowers make donations to Randall University.

Donald Ray Plunkett, a longtime resident of South Oklahoma City, entered Heaven's gate on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the age of 80. The son of George W. Plunkett and Lovada (Arnold) Plunkett, Don was born on December 9, 1941 in Farris, OK. He attended Putnam City high school, before he married the love of his life, Judy Lillard on September 2nd, 1959. Don was a very active in his church and served as a Deacon for many years, as well as taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and supported his wife's many church activities too. Don never met a stranger and was concerned about all. They shared over 61 wonderful years together. Don worked as a carpenter for OPUBCO and provided a warm, comfortable and loving home for his family. But most of all, Don was a GREAT husband, father and grandfather. His favorite past-time was to show love and care for his family and serving the Lord and others as well as hunting, gardening, and he loved watching OU Football. Don will be greatly missed in this life here on earth, but we know there was a great reunion with his daughter, Susan and wife, Judy in Heaven!! He was preceded in death by his: wife Judy Plunkett, who passed on July 17, 2021; parents, George & Lovada Plunkett; daughter, Susan Hall; his brother Lloyd Plunkett; and his sister, Ruby Stringer. He is survived by his: daughter, Donita Garner and her husband, Rick Garner, of Moore; Son, Nathan Plunkett and his wife, Tina Plunkett, of Oklahoma City, OK; son-in-law, Mike Hall and his wife, Kasey of Pierce City, Missouri; brother; Troy Plunkett & his wife Sharon; 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren: Justin Plunkett and his wife, Brittany, Camryn & Clayton; Casie Turner and her husband, Trevor Turner; Lucas & Liam; Jared Garner and his wife, Ashley; Hayden & Hadley; Christopher Plunkett and his wife Rachel; Levi & Stella, Jordan Hall, Caleb Hall, Mason Gauss and Corbin Crawford; Sister-in-law, Alice Wood; As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
