Donald Harold Twiehaus passed away April 15, 2012 at Norman Regional Hospital's Oncology Center in Norman, Oklahoma. He was 73 years old. Donald was born on May 13, 1938 in Wright City, Missouri to Gilbert and Ruby (Justice) Twiehaus. Donald was raised in the Warrenton, Missouri area along with his 4 sisters and 1 brother. He attended Truesdale grade school and graduated from Warrenton High School. While in high school, Donald played for the basketball team and was also a baseball fan. He went on to attend Missouri University for a short time. Donald and his wife of 46 years, Sharon Kay (Jones), raised their twin sons, Jeff and Greg, in Warrenton, Missouri. During that time, Donald owned and operated his own excavation company until he and his family moved to the Oklahoma City area in the early 80's. Shortly after moving to Oklahoma, Donald started working with Overnite Transportation which eventually became part of the United Parcel Service. He continued to work for UPS and did so for an impressive 29 years. Most recently he was a freight driver for the company. Donald was a very spiritual man and it showed by his love and compassion for his family and friends. He was known for his smile and love he shared with anyone and everyone he met and that is what everyone will miss most about Donald. Something important to remember about Donald is the fact that he was a teacher and led by example.
