Donna Jean Brumfield, 92, passed away on June 27, 2025 in Houston, Texas with her family close by her side.
She was born December 17, 1932 in Lafayette, Indiana to her parents, Jesse Homer Hicks and Edith Julia Osborn. She was the youngest of13 siblings. Donna graduated High School from Anderson High School in Anderson, Indiana.
She married the love of her life, Donald R. Brumfield on March 26, 1955 and started their family. They raised their family in The Heights in Houston,Texas near the campus of Gulf Coast Bible College where Donald was a professor. In 1985 they relocated with the College rebranding as Mid-America Bible College in Oklahoma City, OK. Donna and Don attended Shartel Church of God where they were active and faithful members. Donna retired from Deluxe Check Printing and Financial Technology Services in 1997 after 30 years of employment.
Donna was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother who was a woman of faith who loved the Lord.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Donna is preceded in death by her:
Parents and all her brothers & sisters;
Husband, Donald R. Brumfield;
and Daughter, Melanie J. Emshoff
She is survived by her loving:
Daughter: Lydia J. Whitworth and husband, Roscoe E. III of Houston,Texas
Grandsons: Aaron D. Emshoff & wife, Shayna Emshoff of Tulsa, OK,
Roscoe E. Whitworth IV (Rocky) & wife, Brieanna Whitworth of Houston, TX
Great Grandchildren: Corbin & Isabelle Emshoff of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
