Donna Banay Douglas, beloved daughter, sister and friend went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the age of 78. The daughter of Evelyn (Sims) and Noel Charles Douglas, Donna was born on September 16, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A lifetime resident of Oklahoma City, Donna grew up attending Mt. Saint Mary's Schools where she was active in Pep Club. She graduated from Mount Saint Mary's High School in 1963. After graduating, Donna began a long and successful career in medical records at Integris Southwest Medical Center. She retired after 38 years of dedicated service at the hospital where she helped thousands of staff and members of the community with her knowledge and expertise in her field. Donna was a faithful and longtime member of St. James the Greater Catholic Church. Donna enjoyed living a life with many simple pleasures. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii where she enjoyed the beauty and warmth it has to offer. Crossword puzzles, going to the Lyric Theater, attending the OKC Philharmonic concerts, and watching the OKC Thunder basketball games on TV were some of Donna's many special pleasures. Always by her side, was her beloved sister, whom Donna fondly called "Vee", the two were inseparable. They made so many special memories together and were always there for one another no matter what the need or hour was. Donna will be remembered for living a simple way of life and she will be deeply missed each day.
