Donna Jean Wallace, 75, was called to her Heavenly home on Aug. 13, 2015. She was born April 2, 1940 in Crooksville, Ohio to Daniel Joseph & Clara (Wise) Kane. She attended schools in Roseville, Ohio and went on to attend college at Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky. Donna later graduated from Transylvania University at Lexington, Kentucky. While at Asbury College Donna met and made many friends that she maintained throughout her life time. One of her closest and dearest lifelong friends she met at Asbury College was Faye Hess. Also, while at Asbury, Donna met and married her soulmate, Reverend Charles P. Wallace, Sr. on August 18, 1962 at Roseville, Ohio. Donna faithfully served along beside her husband as a Minister's wife and supported him in every aspect of his Ministry. Having a Master's Degree as a Reading Specialist, Donna served as teacher in many schools throughout the state of Oklahoma. After a long career of teaching, Donna retired from the Oklahoma City School District. Donna was a very caring person and served for a time as a Social Worker for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. Donna loved to cook, entertain her friends and had a passion for decorating at Christmas time. Besides loving her friends, Donna loved her family with all of her heart and especially loved her grandchildren. Donna wanted her legacy to be the she was remembered for her loyalty to her husband, loyalty to her family, loyalty to her friends, and loyalty to her students. Donna was preceded in death by: • Her parents, Daniel and Clara Kane • Her husband, Reverend Charles P. Wallace, Sr. • Her Sister-in-law, Susie Kane She is survived by: • Her daughter, Deborah Jean Wallace of Oklahoma City • Her son, Charles "Chip" Wallace, Jr. and wife, Karen, of Houston, Texas • Her brothers, Carl Kane, and Roy Kane and his wife, Shelba • Her grandchildren, Evelyn Grace, Noah Elliott and Samuel Joseph • And numerous nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends that she maintained throughout her life.
