Services will be on Saturday, July 24th at 10:30 am at Fresh Start Community Church in Moore, OK under the direction of Vondel Smith Funeral Home.

Viewing will be Thursday, July 22nd and Friday July 23rd from 4-8 pm the family will be present on Friday, July 23rd from 6-8 pm.

Dorotha Jewel Hicks Storie 87 years old, passed away on July 17, 2021 peacefully at home. She was born on May 12, 1934 in Geary, OK to John Alva Hicks and Martha Nicolai Hicks. She was the youngest of 8 children. She graduated from Greenfield High school in 1952. After graduation she moved to Oklahoma City. Living at the YWCA, she began working for a mortgage company. She later met the love of her life Henry Donald Storie at church. They married on August 15, 1955 and had two sons, Curtis Wayne and Henry Donald, Jr. Dorotha was a very devoted wife, mother and Christian. She loved the Lord and was very involved in her church. For many years she attended Capitol Hill Church of God. During this time she taught Sunday school, involved in women's missionary society and many other activities. She was currently attending Fresh Start Community Church in Moore. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Dorotha had many talents but she loved to garden, can and sew.

Dorotha was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law Jamie Storie, and 7 siblings.

She is survived by her husband Don of the home; son Curtis and wife Leslie; son Donald and wife Sheila; 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and a host of relatives.
