Dorothy Griffin left this earth for her heavenly home on August 12, 2020 in Allen, Texas, at the age of 91. She is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years, Edward Griffin; son, Eddie Griffin and wife Shirley; daughter, Debby Bruno and husband Lew; sister, Annabel Scortt; five grandchildren: Jennifer Johnston, Misty Blackburn, Ryan Griffin, Matthew Harrison, and Jamie Hibbs; 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, and one brother. Visitation will be Friday, August 21, 2020, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary, 13125 N. MacArthur, Oklahoma City. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City (use West entrance off Pennsylvania, South of NW 63rd Street). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lena Pope Orphanage Home in Fort Worth, Texas, at lenapope.org.
