Dorothy Wasik peacefully passed away of natural causes on January 7, 2025 in Bozeman, Montana.

She was born in Oklahoma City on May 24, 1935 to Jerry Cermak and Anna Sedlacek Cermak, the oldest of their two daughters.

She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated from Mount Saint Mary's High School in Oklahoma City. She met her future husband John Wasik in sixth grade, a long friendship ensued that led to their marriage on December 1, 1956 and lasted until his death on February 14, 1999.

Dorothy worked at CIT Financial Services for 43 years and there she made many friends, one special friend Edith Carrillo who has kept their close friendship for more than 70 years.

After retirement Dorothy enjoyed traveling. She traveled the world with her sister Margaret, and also organized educational and exciting travel with her daughter, son-in-law and grandkids. Dorothy was always up for a road trip, whether across the country or just around town. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing, gardening and walking with neighborhood friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jerry and Anna Cermak and her husband John Wasik.

She is survived by her sister Margaret Maddox of Oklahoma City, daughter Sandra (Richard) Morrison, grandson Brian (Heidi) Morrison, granddaughter Erin (Ryan) McCarty, great grandson Callum McCarty, great granddaughter Tatum McCarty all of Bozeman, Montana. And nieces, nephews, and friends all held close to her heart.

Mom was a strong, determined, loving and kind person, and we all miss

her.
