Edith Phipps, 88, went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2011. She was born February 14, 1923 in Oklahoma City to Robert & Etta (McMahan) Ozment. A lifelong resident of Oklahoma City, Edith graduated from Capitol Hill High School before marrying the love of her life, Gene Phipps on August 23, 1941. She was a former member of Calvary Temple & a longtime member of Crossroads Church. She dedicated her life to providing a warm & loving home for her family. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and doting grandmother who will be forever missed more than words can express. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene; great granddaughter, Katherine Busch; son, Bill & daughter Judy Busch; & 5 siblings. Survivors include her son Glen Phipps & wife Tressa; Daughter-in-law, Karen Phipps; Sisters: Patty Lawson & Lavesta Hollon; brother, Lindsay Ozment; grandchildren: Kenneth Busch & wife, Lisa, Jennifer Scott & husband David, Monica Johnson; Scott Phipps & wife, Tisha, Amber Cox, and Lisa Ramsey; 8 great grandchildren.
