Edward, surrounded by his family went peacefully home Sunday, January 15, 2012. He was 85 years old. Edward was the oldest of four sons born to William Clay Richey and Lola Blanche "Shay" Ramsey. He was born October 23, 1926 in Bridge Creek, Oklahoma. After graduating from Dibble High School in 1944, Edward was then drafted into the United State Army. He served in the Philippines at the end of World War II. He worked as General Sales Manager for Lewis Manufacturing Company for 50 years. On December 28, 1961, Edward married Letha Jewell Lewis in Blanchard, Oklahoma. They made their home in Oklahoma City where they raised their family. Edward was a member of Southern Oaks Free Will Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for over 40 years and served on the Trustee and Deacon Boards. Edward loved God, family, church, and country. He enjoyed being a granddad, OU football, Mr. Henry P. Iba basketball, and Major League Baseball. Edward loved and supported Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College and served many years on the President's Advisory Board. He derived great pleasure from large family gatherings with both the Richey and Lewis families. He valued his relationship with his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

In-laws, Port and Dora Lewis;
Brother-in-law, Bronelle Lewis;
Sister-in-law, June Coshow.
Edward is survived by his:
Wife of 50 years, Letha Jewell Richey;
Son, Roger Wesley Richey and wife Allison;
Daughter, Loree Ann Woods and husband Edward;
Brother, Jack Richey and wife Mona;
Brother, James Richey and wife Kay;
Sister-in-law, Genelle Richey;
Grandchildren: Casey Kristine Richey, Emily Brook Richey, Ian Wesley Richey, and Luke Edward Woods;
Many loving nieces and nephews, special cousins, close friends Bill and Mary Anne Giles,
and his church family.
