Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Eileen Hanlan passed away on July 5, 2026. She was born on January 3, 1937, in Oklahoma City, OK to Elizabeth Anderson Porter and Edward Porter. She attended Capitol Hill High School. Eileen wed H. J. Hanlan on July 4, 1953. They moved to Corpus Christi, TX while H.J. completed his service in the U.S. Navy. Marrying at ages 16 and 19, they remained happily married for 67 years prior to H.J.’s passing in September 2020. Eileen was a dedicated homemaker for her family and had many other talents. She was a creative and talented artist, seamstress, cook, gardener, decorator, and hostess. After her children left home, she worked as a floral designer for many years. Affectionately known as MoMo to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was the heart of her family. She made every birthday, holiday, and special event special and memorable. She will be remembered for her beautiful spirit, great sense of humor, love of life, and the complete and selfless love and support she gave to her family and loved ones. Eileen leaves behind her children: Christy Savage, Tobi Campbell (Allen), Jay Hanlan (Heather), her much loved grandchildren: Ashley Cline (Dax), Stephanie McKinney (Josh), Dylan Savage, Brandon Hanlan (Helen), Jordon, Amelia and Maddie Hanlan and four great- grandchildren; dearly loved bonus grandchildren Corey Alkire (Caleb), Hannah Campbell, Isabella and Zoe Giannakopoulos, and five bonus great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary, 6934 S. Western Ave., Oklahoma City.
Viewing on Wednesday, July 8 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
