DANIEL, Elise H., 83, of OKC, passed away Fri., Aug. 28, 2009 at her home with her husband at her side. Elise was born Dec. 24, 1925 in Shuqualak, MS to Walker P. Hand and Irene Evans Hand. She graduated from Shuqualak High School in 1944. On Oct. 31, 1954, she married James P. Daniel of Skiatook, OK. They were married in Natchez, MS. Elise graduated from Cadet Nurses Training, U.S. Army in 1948 and served as a VA and USAF civilian nurse until taking a medical retirement in 1975. Elise is survived by her husband; sister, Hazel Gray of MS; brother, Perry Hand of AR; niece, Mabel Killen of MS; sister-in-law, Linda O'Connell of IA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents and three sisters, Kathryn, Augusta and Ruth. Elisa was a devoted wife and caring nurse. She loved her church and church family at Southern Hills Baptist Church. Services will be 2:00 PM Today at Vondel Smith South Colonial Chapel.
