Elmer Evan Channel, a resident of Oklahoma City, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the age of 89. He was born June 24, 1925 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to his parents, Raymon and Zola Marie (Endicott) Channel. During World War II, he honorably served his country in the United States Army and was award the Purple Heart Medal for his courageous battle and distinguished service. He was also award the Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Eame Theater Ribbon, and three Bronze Service Stars. Elmer married his longtime sweetheart, Emma Lee Hornsby and together shared more than 46 years of marriage, raising a family and serving the Lord & others. For many years, Elmer provided a warm and loving home for his family by working as executive courier in the oil & petroleum industry. Elmer was a loving husband, devoted father, doting grandfather and loyal friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Sister, Thelma Don Gestes of Oklahoma City;
Son, Gary and Joyce Peck of Bellville, Illinois;
Daughter, Sheila and Jimmy Nye of Moore, Oklahoma;
Daughter, Angela and Merrel Williard of Oklahoma City;
9 Grandchildren;
24 great-grandchildren;
3 great-great grandchildren;
And numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
