Elmer, 85, was called to his Heavenly home on Oct. 28, 2015. He was born May 2, 1930 in Konowa, OK to Arthur & Maggie (Brewer) Owen. Elmer married Ruth Elizabeth on July 10, 1953 & they enjoyed more than 50 years together before her passing in 2013. He began working at the age of 12. Elmer retired from Huttig Sash & Door as a sales representative after many years of service. Preceded in death by his parents; wife Ruth; 3 sisters & 5 brothers. He is survived by his sons, David & wife, Elita, & son Steve; granddaughters, Christina Miller & husband, Adam; Amy West & husband, Derek; great-grandchildren, Kennedy & Greyson Parker, Annabeth Miller, & Emma & Ryan West; brother, Ray Owen; & sister, Faye Murray. He was truly an outgoing, charming, stoic gentleman that loved spending time with his family & friends. During his spare time, Elmer enjoyed fishing, gardening & building things, including his own home.
