Elmer George Reherman left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father on October 18, 2010 at the age of 77. He was born January 8, 1933 in Okarche, Oklahoma to parents Emil and Marguerite (Gassen) Reherman. Elmer graduated in 1952 from Holy Trinity High School. He served in the Army, Company B, 9th Ordinance Battalion in Germany. Elmer was a dedicated farmer and soil conservationist in the Okarche area since 1960. He was recognized by the East Canadian County Conservation District for his outstanding dedication in conservation of soil and water. He was a long time member of the Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Elmer is survived by his wife; Mary Ann of 39 years, 2 daughters; Amy Yell and husband Steven, Sharon Wolf and her husband Wade; 3 step-daughters; Liz Myers, Nicole Varner, and her husband Doug, Rebecca Leiberman and her husband Neil; 4 grandchildren; Bali Ong, Connor and Marguerite Wolf, and Dillon Yell. He was survived by 2 brothers; Robert & Walter Reherman; 2 sisters; Jean Reherman and Emalene Schwarz, and special family members; Bob and Margie Streets. Elmers work ethic and dedication to his family were unmatched. He will be deeply missed. Donations may be made to Catholic Charities, St. Vincent DePaul Society, or the Charity of your choice. A wake service will be held at 7 PM on Thursday October 21, 2010 at Vondel Smith Mortuary North Colonial Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, October 22, 2010 at The Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, 7336 W. Britton Road, with burial to follow at 2:00 PM at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
