Elmer Eugene Wolf

June 12, 1931 ~ March 8, 2024

Elmer Eugene "Pop" Wolf entered into the Lord's hands on Friday, March 8, 2024 at the age of 92. The son of Henry William & Rose Monica (Zurline) Wolf, Elmer was born June 12, 1931, in OKC. Elmer overcame many challenges in his lifetime. He lost his right leg in a hunting accident at the age of 13. He was very studious and had the most beautiful handwriting in town. He married the love of his life, Mildred Marie Schaefer from Okarche, Oklahoma on April 4, 1956 and they lost their first three children at birth. After much prayer, they adopted through the Catholic Charities. First was Karolyn, then Mark and finally Marcia. In 1970, the family was blessed with the birth of Regina. The loving parents raised the four children in the Catholic faith with all four graduating from Mount St. Mary's Catholic High School. Elmer's second family was the employees and vendors of Consolidated Wholesale Company, where he was a bookkeeper, accountant and eventually served as the President of the company. Elmer retired in 1995 after more than 40 years of dedicated service. During retirement, Elmer and Mildred spent the next 29 years enjoying their kids and grandkids.

3 Sisters & Brothers-in-law: Mildred Brueggen & husband, Phil, Elizabeth Krittenbrink & husbands, Paul and Carl; and Marilyn Schwarz & husband, Richard;

3 Brothers & Sisters-in-law: Don Wolf & wife, Rosanne; Hubert "Hub" Wolf & wife, Bernita; and William "Bill" Wolf.

Elmer is survived by his:

Wife of 68 years, Mildred Schaefer Wolf;

3 Daughters & their families: Karolyn Stuver, Marcia Stroud & husband, Felton; and Regina Scott;

Son, Mark Wolf & wife, Mary-Ellen;

Brother, George Wolf & wife, Margaret;

Sister-in-law, Shirley Wolf;

9 Grandchildren: Katie & husband, Kory Peavler, Joseph Wolf, Tres Basler, Britt Basler & wife, Sarah, Desiree Wolf, Mark Wolf, Jr. & fiancée, Emily Workman, Lacey Wolf, Jourdyn Scott & fiancée, Josh Lee; and Jaekub Scott; One great grandchild, Jackson and 2 more on the way;

As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Viewing will be 12-6 PM Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the Rosary service to begin at 6:30 PM Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Vondel Smith Mortuary, S Western. Mass of Christian Burial to honor his life will be held 11:30 AM Thursday, March 14, 2024 at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 4201 S. McKinley Ave, OKC with burial following at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mount St. Mary High School, 2801 S Shartel Ave. Friends may leave condolences for the family at vondelsmithmortuary.com
