Elnora Black Ross was born January 5, 1929 in Port, Oklahoma the daughter of Walter and Lemma (Moore) Black. She completed this life on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the age of 86.
She received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and her Master's Degree in Education from Western State University in Gunnison, CO. She taught sixth grade math at Windsor Hills Elementary retiring after 25 years with the Putnam City Schools.
She married Herman Eugene "Gene" Ross on June 2, 1952 in Port, OK..
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Clifton and Garland Black and her sister, Bernice Feltman.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gene; her sons, Bill Ross and his wife Debbie of Mustang, Bruce Ross and his wife Bridgette of Alexandria, LA and Barney Ross of Oklahoma City; her grandchildren, Ryan Ross and his wife Achley, Eric Ross, Chelsea Ross and Garrett Ross; her sister, Madeline Cluck of Sentinel, OK.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 24th in the Vondel Smith Mortuary North, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 25th in the Vondel Smith Mortuary North Chapel with interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
