Ethel (McCornack) Garland of Oklahoma City, OK went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tues., Sept. 1, 2015 while in the Quality Hospice Care Center in Del City. Ethel was born to John James & Myrtle (Riddle) McCornack on Sept. 11, 1920. She was the fourth of six children born to John & Myrtle. Ethel married the love of her life, Hardin Garland, in OKC, OK in 1940. Ethel is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, John, Jr. & wife, Rebekah, Frank & wife, Ida Aubyn, Harold (Buster) McCornack & wife, Pearl; sisters, Roberta Clark & husband, Jim, & Freda Marrotek & husband, Albert. Ethel worked as customer correspondent for 42 years at Montgomery Wards in Fort Worth, TX. Ethel grew up in South OKC & graduated from Capitol Hill High School. She moved to Texas after her marriage to Hardin & lived there 62 years. She moved back to South OKC in 2002 to take care of her sister, Freda. Ethel was lovingly taken care of by several nieces during the last several years of her life.
