JOHNSON, Ethel Susan, joined her Lord & Savior on Sept.24, 2010. She was born, Aug. 26, 1925, and raised in San Antonio, TX. Ethel married the love of her life, Charles H. Johnson. They were blessed with 65 years of enduring love. She was a member of Southwest Baptist Church. For 65 years Ethel served the Lord through piano & singing, puppetry & teaching children & youth biblical principles. Crafts, sewing, cooking, flowers (especially Texas Blue Bonnets) and raising Pomeranians brought her great pleasure. A godly wife, mother & grandmother, Ethel is survived by her husband Charles; sons and their wives David Johnson & Patricia; Jim Johnson & Laura; 4 granddaughters, Julie Savage & husband Michael; Rebekah Zwirtz & husband Lonnie; Jennifer Levy & husband Dr. Marlon Levy & Sierra Brown; 5 great grandchildren. Ethel's love for the Lord & his work has touched many lives here & abroad, especially in Mexico. Services to celebrate her life will be held 2 PM Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010 at Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes 4000 S.W. 119th OKC with interment to follow at Heritage Burial Park. Memorials may be made to Southwest Baptist Church 1300 S. W. 54th OKC. 73119. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 PM to 8 PM with the family receiving friends from 5 PM to 7 PM.
