Eugene "Gene" R. Lee was born on August 27, 1925 in Chickasha Oklahoma and he left this earth for his heavenly home on August 31 2010. Dad was blessed by marrying his soul mate, our mother Maxine on March 28, 1946 until death separated their over 64 years of marriage until they meet again in heaven. Dad was a long time member of the Oakcrest Church of Christ where he cherished his church family. Dad was a veteran of World War II where he served in the United States Navy as part of the fighting Seabees. He saw action on the islands of Saipan, Tinian and was on Okinawa when the war ended. He was honorably discharged from the Navy on March 25, 1946. In 1949, Gene went to work for Tinker Air Force Base. He enlisted in the Air Force Reserves on December 22, 1949 where he was called up for active duty for the Korean conflict. Dad received an honorable discharge from the Air Force on March 21, 1953. Upon returning from overseas, he went back to work at Tinker Air Force Base and started his civilian life working as a machinist, where he rose in position to become the Branch Chief over the jet engine repair line. Dad retired from Tinker in 1976 and spent the remainder of his life enjoying fishing, spending time with family and friends and his soul mate.

He was preceded in death by his:
• Father and mother: Robert and Hazel Lee
• Sister, Juanita Rose
• Brother, Homer Lee
• Son-in-law, Melvin Adams
• Brother-in-laws: Chester Wright, Bill Rose, Virgil Young, Albert (Pete) Miller.


He is survived by his:
• Wife, Faye Maxine Lee of the home
• Three children: Sondra Adams of Moore, Linda Moody of Oklahoma City and Robert Lee and his wife, Mari of Oklahoma City
• Sister, Mary Miller of Houston, Texas
• Six Granddaughters: Shauna Hoover and her husband Harold, Donna Bingham, LeAnn Moody, Amy Calhoun and her husband Mitchell, Christy Lee, Jennifer and her husband Ryan Jacobson;
• Five Great Grandchildren: Christopher and Joshua Hoover, Brittney Bingham, Alexandria Calhoun, Madelyn Jacobson
• Many nieces and nephews
• A host of relatives and friends.

Our family wants to extend a special thanks to all of Dad's caregivers during the last few months of his life, your care and compassion will always be appreciated.
