Eva Lucille McIntosh passed away peacefully on Monday, February 13, 2012. She was 84 years old. She was born to Charles Willie and Lily Maud McKee in the family farmhouse in the community of Russellville near Quinton, Oklahoma on July 8, 1927, one of eleven children. She graduated from Quinton High School in 1947 and married Menford L. McIntosh in the same year and was a devoted Army wife for many years, living in West Germany for six of those years. They had two children, Joe Leon and Alpha LaDawn. Eva, known affectionately as "Lou" was a retail sales associate for over 40 years. She won many retail sales awards during those years. She loved to knit and stitch, play Yahtzee and Pinochle and she had a great sense of humor. She loved to read and write poetry. Eva was a wonderful lady known for her infectious laugh.
She was preceded in death by her:
Parents;
Husband, Menford Leon McIntosh;
Brother, Willis McKee;
Sisters, Milrea Blackwood, Thelma McKee and Doris Vaughan.
She is survived by her:
Son, Joe McIntosh and his wife, Karen of Newcastle, OK;
Daughter, Alpha LaDawn "Donna" and husband, Carl F. Holden, III of New Port Richey, Florida;
Brother, Jim McKee and his wife, Louise of Bakersfield, California;
two sisters: Ruth Ford & husband, James of OKC and Alice Kays of Bakersfield, California; grandson: Derek McIntosh and wife, Maggie;
granddaughter, Erin McIntosh;
one great grandchild, Jordan;
and numerous nieces and nephews.
