IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ezra Wyatt
West
March 8, 1959 – December 20, 2025
Ezra Wyatt West
March 8, 1959 ~ December 20, 2025
Ezra West, fondly known as Wyatt or Grumpy by his family and friends, went to be with his Heavenly Father on December
20, 2025, at the age of 66. The son of Katie B. Arthur and Ezra L. West was born on March 8 th , 1959, in Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma. Wyatt grew up in Bethany and attended schools in the Putnam City area; his High School was PC West. Wyatt
had a natural athletic ability that started as a Little League baseball player. He played baseball and football throughout his
years at PC West. Wyatt continued athletics in adulthood by playing golf and softball in his church league, and by fishing
and hunting. Most of his enjoyment came from the people he played with. He made lifelong friends and could recite their
stats as if it were yesterday. In the last few years, hunting and planning his annual deer camp was a passion. His
summers were spent at the lake with friends, and his cherished weekends when his Grandkids, Charlotte, Wylie, and
occasionally Mikala could be there with him. He loved planning meals and cooking for them whenever he could. Wyatt
worked in the oilfields for his adult life, starting in June 1977 until he retired during COVID. He worked in all positions and
managed many crews throughout his career. He loved the work and the people. He knew the back roads of this state
better than most. Wyatt had an enormous group of wonderful friends whom he considered family. He loved and cared
deeply for his family, and he will be held close to our hearts each day.
