Farrell Dean Thompson, of Oklahoma City, left this world on March 25, 2024 at the age of 87. Farrell was born in Carter, Oklahoma on December 11, 1936 to Bert Oliver Thompson and Florene (Embry) Thompson.
Farrell married his high school sweetheart, Anita Louise Johnson on July 26, 1955 and they were happily married for over 60 years, prior to her death on May 25, 2016.
Farrell began his career in the automotive industry by hiring on at Darby Everest Cadillac. He started as a valet and worked into the Parts Room, then he became the Parts Manager. Later he entered New Car Sales and eventually became the New Car Sales Manager. After Bob Moore purchased the dealership they partnered on a Hyundai dealership on the NW Highway. After retirement Farrell continued in the car business by purchasing and selling used cars.
Farrell loved the outdoors and was an avid bird hunter and golfer.
Farrell attended Britton Baptist Church for over 40 years and was a member at Quail Springs Baptist Church at the time of his death. He was a faithful member and supporter of Gideon's International for many years.
On March 30, 2019, Farrell married Say Guech Quindt.
Farrell was preceded in death by his parents; son, Donnie L. Thompson; brother, Jerry Thompson; sister, Reba Clifton and brother's –in-law Bobby Rogers and P.A Clifton; and sister-in-law, Vanessa Thompson.
Farrell leaves behind: wife, Say, of the home; son, Larry D. Thompson and his wife Kathryn of Kalispell, MT; grandson, Nick R. Thompson and his wife Kati and great granddaughter, Tommi Lou of Freeport, FL;
daughter -in- law Debbie Thompson of Bedford, TX; sister Peggy Rogers of Midland, TX; brother Jack Thompson and wife Pamela of Norman, OK.; stepsons Lee Lim and his wife Victoria of Seattle, WA and their children, Sidny and Alana; Dr. Heng Lim and his wife Rachel of Tulsa, Ok and their children Mollina and Rebekah; Meng Lim and his wife Christina of Oklahoma City and their children, Joseph and Alyssa; Thong Lim and his wife Sinat of Oklahoma City and their children Gabriel and Tom.
