GILBERT, Frances Marie Muzik. On June 17, 2010, Frances was escorted by a Heavenly host of angels to her eternal home in Heaven. She is with her Savior, Jesus Christ forever. Excited to have her with them in Heaven are her dear friends, Dixie Walker, Lavern Dawson and Nan Nan Houston. Frances was affectionately called "MooMoo" by her family and friends. She was born in Denver, CO on April 21, 1923 to Hazel and Joseph Muzik. She also had a brother, Bobby, all of whom preceded her in death. She spent countless days with her cousins in the Colorado Rockies camping and fishing. She snow skied whenever she had a chance. A very handsome man, who traveled for Johnson & Johnson, was introduced to her in 1948 while traveling through Denver. MooMoo and Bernell M. "B" Gilbert married in Aug. 1949. They together owned and operated Gilbert's Pharmacy for many years in Lawton, OK. Upon retirement, they moved to OKC. After retirement, MooMoo made decorative sweat shirts and made the cutest bath robes with matching slippers that she sold at craft fairs. Many people would give her cows, but MooMoo actually collected umbrellas. Her collection has grown with many unusual and beautiful umbrellas. MooMoo is survived by her son, Robert Gilbert and his wife Becky; two daughters, Judy Evans and her husband Cliff, Patty Bond and her husband Chuck. She was blessed with eight grandchildren: Byekwaso Gilbert and his wife Rose, David and John Gilbert, Abby Evans Murphy and her husband John, Aaron and Adam Evans, Jamie and Julie Bond. If that weren't enough, the Lord also blessed her with six great grandchildren: Miles, Evan, Cole, Grant and Drew Murphy, and Kenny Gilbert. Preceding MooMoo and now together forever is her granddaughter, Ashley Kay Evans. MooMoo loved her church and her church family. She delighted in the friendships she made and called them family. She especially loved hearing as she would say "the most talented choir she had ever heard." The family would especially like to thank Integris Hospice of Oklahoma County. What a blessing you were to MooMoo and her family. Viewing will be Sunday from 12Noon-8 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Transitions Foundation, 7300 Tangle Vine Drive, Edmond, OK 73034 and Hospice of Oklahoma county 4334 N.W. Expressway, Suite 106, OKC, OK 73116 Services to celebrate her life will be 10:00 AM Monday at Graceway Baptist Church with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 7800 NW Expressway.
