Obituary

There will be a Celebration of Life 10:00am Saturday, May 5 at Chapel of the Cross at The Church of the Servant, 14343 N. MacArthur Blvd. in Oklahoma City. Frances Woolverton Tysor went to live with her Lord on Friday, April 27, 2018. Fran was born July 10, 1927 in Wichita Falls, TX, to Hobart and Alice Woolverton. She graduated from Austin High School and Texas University where she majored in modern languages. She was very active in the Gamma Phi Beta sorority, holding offices as a collegiate and alum, she also was a camp counselor at the Gamma Phi Beta camp. Fran also enjoyed having her daughter, Linda as a Gamma Phi sister and attended many conventions together. On Sept. 3, 1949, Fran married Jim Tysor and was married for 68 years. She was active member of Central Presbyterian Church of OKC. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, reading and singing. She loved traveling and has been to many places, taking cruises around the world. Fran is preceded in death by her parents, Hobart & Alice Woolverton. She is survived by her husband Jim Tysor, her daughter Linda Nowlin(Larry); sons Art Tysor(Janice) and Chuck Tysor(Janice); grandchildren Kevin Nowlin(Venessa), Shawn Nowlin(Martha), Jen Shipman(James), Chris Tysor(Shauna), Ashley Tysor and 7 great grandchildren. There will be a Celebration of Life 10:00am Saturday, May 5 at Chapel of the Cross at The Church of the Servant, 14343 N. MacArthur Blvd. in Oklahoma City. She will be laid to rest at the family gravesite in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin, TX. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Infant Crisis Center of OKC.
