Obituary

Freddie-Marie (Vanoni) Price, lovingy known as "Granny" to many, passed away on September 11, 2021. She was born October 10, 1946 in Delaney, California to Joe Mikel Vanoni and Opal LaVadi (Daniels) Vanoni. She was raised in Lindsay, Oklahoma. In 1964 she graduated from Lindsay High School. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1965 and began working at United Auto Parts Warehouse in Downtown OKC. In 1965 she met Kenneth Price while at Oklahoma City at "The Spot." Their relationship soon blossomed and the two were engaged. They were married in Oklahoma City on March 14, 1966. Kenneth and Freddie-Marie were blessed with a daughter, Cynthia and loved raising a family together. Both hard workers, Kenneth and Freddie-Marie made sure their family was taken care of. Freddie-Marie worked for a few auto parts manufacturers over the years. Her career at GM spanned over 25 years. She was able to fully retire when the plant closed down and allowed for her and Kenneth to travel and spend almost all of their free time with family. They traveled all over the US and put 2 motor homes to very good use. One of Freddie-Marie's favorite places to visit was the beach. During her travels she was able to visit numerous tropical islands and enjoy a beautiful sunset with her toes in the sand. Family was very important to Freddie-Marie and Kenneth, and they were always happy to include their family in many of their trips on the open road. Freddie-Marie had many hobbies, but her grandchildren were her favorite hobby. She loved them dearly. They made many lasting memories together. Whether they were sitting at the house talking, at the ballpark, running errands or on an outing for a special occasion, she always made their time together meaningful. Another hobby of Freddie-Marie's was helping others in need. She took a number of people in need of a good role model under her wing and made a huge impact in their lives. She was also very artistic. Freddie-Marie painted oil on canvas (mainly nature scenes), porcelain dolls and added an artistic touch to everything she did. She also loved floral gardening and made sure her garden was top notch. Freddie's presence here on this earth will be greatly missed by her family, friends and the countless lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her: Parents, Joe Mikel Vanoni and Opal LaVadi (Daniels) Vanoni; Sister, LaVadi Castel. She leaves behind her: Husband, Kenneth Price; Daughter, Cynthia Kitchens; Brother, Mike Vanoni; Granddaughter, Kristen Thomas and husband Chris; Granddaughter, Victoria Oliver; Grandson, Brenden Keller; 6 Great-Grandchildren: Cayden, Brooklynn, Carter, Baileigh, Talon and Kinsley.
