Frederic James Swanson, 82, passed away on April 1, 2025 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Fred was born on April 26, 1942 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Frederic John and Elizabeth Boyd (Himrod) Swanson. Fred proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. Fred was stationed later at Ft. Sill. He was honorably discharged in 1971 as a Staff Sergeant and went on to work as an electrical engineer. He specialized in printed circuit board manufacturing. Fred worked hard to provide for his family and he loved them dearly. Fred and his wife Betsy were members at Southern Hills Baptist Church for many years and have many dear friends at the church. Although Fred is no longer with us, he will always be remembered by the legacy he left with his family.
