A funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday September 11 at Moore Central Church of Christ.

Frieda Irene Musser, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed from this life on Friday, September 6, 2024. Frieda was born in Calhoun, Oklahoma on January 16, 1930, the second child of Clarence and Ola (Myers) Rainwater.

After graduating from Red Oak High School, Frieda earned college degrees from Eastern A&M (A.S. degree), Southeastern State (B.S. Education), and the University of Oklahoma (Master of Education).

Frieda met her soulmate, J.J. Musser, while working in the library at Southeastern State. Frieda and J.J. married in 1954, and together they built careers as respected educators within the Thackerville, Ardmore, Stuart, and ultimately the Moore public school systems.

Frieda was a kind and generous soul with a subtle, but ever-present sense of humor. She exemplified "goodness" and grace in all of her words and actions, even while struggling with the effects of dementia during her later years.

Frieda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 47 years, J.J.; her sister and four brothers. She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn Musser and Debra Ray; son-in-law Kelley Ray; grandson Jaison Ray; various nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
