It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Gary Lee Fowler on May 11, 2022 after his brief, but valiant battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and co-workers.

Gary was born in mid-December 1954 in Woodward, Oklahoma to parents Stanley & Charlene Fowler. He was the oldest of 3 siblings. He grew up in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School in 1973. He attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University and Central State University after he moved to the Oklahoma City area. He welcomed his oldest daughter Megan in 1977. In 1982, he married Susan Gore. They had just celebrated their 40th anniversary on May 1st, 2022. His youngest daughter, Liz, was born in 1983. He spent most of his life working hard to provide for his family and serve others. He was an active member of church and spent many Sundays serving the Lord. He enjoyed all types of sports, but really loved watching both the OU Sooners and CHA Crusaders play football. He was honored to keep statistics under those Friday night lights for CHA. Anyone who knew Gary knows that he was a walking sports encyclopedia and could tell you all about the many great moments he had seen over the years.

Gary is survived by his wife Susan, his daughter Liz, his daughter Megan and her husband Clay as well as 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sister Karen and her husband Marty, his brother Dale and his wife Lori, his sister-in-law Kathy and her husband Jeff, his sister-in-law Becky and her husband Jason in addition to several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Eugene Fowler and Elizabeth Charlene Fowler and his infant son.

A Celebration of Life Service for Gary will be held June 1st at 11:30 am at Northwest Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
