Gary Burnes Harrington Sr., 80, was called to his Heavenly home on September 06, 2015. He was born November 08, 1934 in Parkville, Missouri to George Burnes & Ethel May (Burge) Harrington. Gary grew up and attended Kindergarten through High School in Oklahoma City, OK. After graduating from high school in 1952, Gary later met Doris Ann Scott from Wilson, OK in Feb. of 1953 and they fell in love and were married on Oct. 28, 1953. From this union were born 4 children. Gary and Doris moved their family from Oklahoma City in 1968 to Moore. They raised their children and had a wonderful and full life of love and laughter for 53 years. Loving to travel, they took many trips around the country collecting special items and antiques. Gary and Doris were members of the First Baptist church, later transferring their membership to Regency Park Baptist Church. As a result of the Bridge Creek-Moore Tornado of 1999, Gary and Doris moved to South Oklahoma City where they lived until 2007. Gary loved hunting, fishing and being outdoors. As a result of his father having tremendous knowledge of machinery, Gary grew up loving to work on wood and was an excellent carpenter. After completing University he began work for CIT Group as an accounting supervisor, later becoming the Senior Auditor. As a result of CIT being acquired by Manufacturers Hanover Corp of New York, Gary was promoted to Senior Auditor in the Business Loans Division. Before his retirement in 1995, Gary was reassigned to CIT Group Financing and promoted to Assistant Controller.
