Gary Douglas Logan passed away peacefully at home in the presence of his family on April 16, 2025.
Gary was born on July 25, 1947 to Dorthy and Wes Logan in Jacksonville Florida. He graduated from Weatherford High School in 1965 and enrolled in Southwestern State College for 1 year.
Gary was a proud, patriotic American, an Army Veteran that received several awards for his service in Vietnam, loving family man. He joined the army in 1966 to serve in Vietnam and was discharged in 1968. After his discharge, Gary went back to Southwestern State to finish his education in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
After graduation, Gary held jobs in Dallas and traveled over the U.S. installing microwave towers.
In 1980 he returned to Weatherford and started Western Trading Company. There he met his future wife Anita and they married in 1982. They made their home in Weatherford until moving to OKC in 2012 to be near family.
Gary was a loving husband and father to James Keenum and Kari Keenum, and loving grandfather to Leryn Keenum. Gary was very much a family man and made all football games, track meets, swim team meet that his kids were in. Gary was also a wonderful friend; two of his closest and longest were Bill Hinley and Joe Poe.
Gary lived by his beliefs: Love your family and always be honest and truthful.
Gary will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his mother, father and brother Scott. Gary is survived by his wife, Anita Logan, son James Keenum, daughter Kari Keenum, and granddaughter Leryn Keenum. His brother, Jim Logan, sister-in-law Linda Logan, Aunt, Pat Spears and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Service with Army honors will be held at the Vondel Smith North Colonial Chapel Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 2:00PM.
