Gayle Drew Brewster went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the age of 81 years old. He was born February 12, 1932 in Greenland, Arkansas to his parents, Eugene Bryan and Marjorie Edna (Robinson) Brewster. During the Korean Conflict, he honorably served his counrty in the US Air Force. After serving his country, he earned degrees at the University of Arkansas. On December 1, 1951, he married the love of his life, Julia Elizabeth Kelly and together shared more than 61 years of marriage while raising a family. He provided a warm loving home for his family by working as an assistant treasurer for Cities Service Gas Company. He was a longtime member of St. James Catholic Church. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Joyce Stiedle, and granddaughter, Anastasia Esin Stansbury. He leaves cherished memories with his loving wife of 61 years, Julia; 11 children: Debbie Lindauer, Patricia Crim (Chris), Cathy Wright (Wally), Brian Brewster (Linda), Moose Brewster (Teresa), Susie Howard (Chuck), Mark Brewster (Tammy), Greg Brewster (Serena), Anita Yousey (David), Kelly Pack (Gary) and Amy Townsend; sisters: Shirley McFarlin and Dodie Golenor; 28 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or the Alzheimers Association. Rosary service will be 6:00 PM Monday February 18th at St. James Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 19th, 2013 at St. James Catholic Church, 4201 S. McKinley.
