Geneva Pearl Bell, was called to her Heavenly home to be with all the loved one who passed before her, on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the age of 92. The daughter of Scottie (Dixon) and William Edward Sasnett, Geneva was born on August 11, 1931 in LeFlore, Oklahoma. Geneva grew up attending LeFlore schools and that is where she met a handsome young man by the name of Ernest T. Bell and the two of them became inseparable. This union was blessed with four children. Geneva was a loving and devoted wife, dedicated and nurturing mother, and an adoring grandmother, who was truly the center of her family's life. A simple and humble woman with the heart of God in her soul, Geneva would truly give of herself in any way she possibly could to help others, whether it was giving someone the shirt off her back or making certain no one left her house hungry and made sure any extras were sent home to eat later. Geneva exemplified the spirit of God in all she did. She loved the simple pleasures in life such as taking care of her chickens, going on fishing and camping trips, and growing her own vegetables for cooking and sharing with others or utilizing her skill of having a green thumb and ability to grow anything, especially her rose bushes. Geneva was well known for making her special "blackberry wine cakes" that she loved to share with others. Another simple pleasure Geneva thoroughly enjoyed was watching all of her Westerns and TV shows, especially the ones starring Matt Dillon. She was extremely talented in many different creative ways. She enjoyed making memorial floral decorations for memorializing the graves of her family and others as well. Most of all, Geneva was always present for her family and friends. Whether it was holiday, school function, someone sick, someone in need of a helping hand, a meal to eat, sharing her abundance of God's blessing, Geneva was thoughtful in many ways, always putting others first and foremost. Geneva's exceptional love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren was tremendous and they truly felt her love immensely in everything she did for them. She leaves a beautiful legacy for her family to treasure, cherish and instill in their own lives each day. She was loved by everyone and her presence here on earth will be greatly missed. But we rejoice in knowing she is happy, healed and reunited with her loved ones again. We know she will continue to be our angel watching over us and when it is our turn to go, she will be waiting at the gates of Heaven to welcome us in with one of her hugs and smiles of joy and pride.
