Gennora Manuel Milam Hoffman, fondly known "Jenny" or "Meemaw", was born on June 13, 1929 in Gerty, Oklahoma. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 95, on October 4, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jenny is reunited in heaven with her two sons (Randy Milam and Terry Milam), along with her husband Paul Hoffman, brothers (Cliff Manuel, Hugh Manuel and Alfred Manuel) and parents (Emma Inman Manuel and Thomas Manuel). She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law (Pam Armstrong and Clyde Armstrong), her grandchildren (Donnie Milam, Tracy Milam, Jennifer Linn, Jeff Armstrong, David Milam, and Jesse Milam), her great-grandchildren (Ryan Milam, Brookelinn Linn, Blake Linn, Colby Armstrong, Mason Armstrong, Riley Milam, Kiley Milam and Charlie Milam) along with numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and
friends.
Born in Gerty, Oklahoma during the Great Depression, Jenny was raised on a farm with her brothers. After graduating high school, she moved to Oklahoma City in 1948 with her brother Cliff. She married Charles "Chuck" Milam in 1949 and they soon after had their three children: Terry, Pam, and Randy. She was remarried to Paul Hoffman on April 28, 1967 until his death in 2002. She worked for 30+ years in the trucking business, where she met her best friend of 70
years, Janita Hood.
Jenny was bestowed the name "Meemaw" by her first grandson Donnie. Her most precious possession in life was her family. As the mighty matriarch of her family, her wisdom and teachings (including her phenomenal recipes) now benefit all of her current and future generations to come. Meemaw was resilient, resourceful, witty, colorful and incredibly loving.
She could make anyone feel special and worthy, despite any roadblocks they faced in their path. While she will be dearly missed on Earth, those who love her now rejoice for her eternal happiness and everlasting peace in heaven.
