October 4, 1928 – January 14, 2015
George William "Billy" King went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 14, 2015 at the age of 86. The son of Jasper Newt and Ruby C. (Hedrick) King, George was born October 4, 1928 in Tupelo, Oklahoma. He retired from Capitol Steel & Iron Company, where he worked as an iron worker for more than 37 years, and was a longtime member of the Iron Workers Union #48 and a Mason. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, fishing and woodworking. George had a heart for the Lord. He enjoyed worshipping at Shields Blvd. Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon for many years. He served the Lord and others by cooking at Falls Creek Children's and Youth Camps for many summers and his church for numerous years. He was a loving husband and devoted father. George also had a special love for all of his grandkids and was lovingly known as "Papa". He will be deeply missed. George was preceded in death by his: Loving wife, Imogene King, in 2002. George leaves behind his loving: Daughter, Vicki Russell and her husband, Bill, of OKC; Son, Randy King and his wife, Rhonda, of OKC; Brother, Robert King and his wife, Carolyn, of Shawnee, OK; Sister, Tommie Hair, of Shawnee, OK; Granddaughter, Mindy Kennedy and her husband, Jon; Grandson, Bill Alan Russell and his wife, Lindsay; Granddaughter, Emily Lovelace and her husband, Brandon; Great grandchildren: Logan Kennedy, Tyler Russell, Graceyn Kennedy, Landon Kennedy, Saige Russell, and Baby Lovelace, arriving in July 2015; Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
