Georgia Lou Hughes, 82, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away January 18, 2010. Georgia was born January 9, 1928 in Grand Saline, Texs to J.B. and Lillie Mae Guthrie. She worked as Housekeeping Supervisor for South Community Hospital for over 29 years, then Deaconess, Mercy Hospital and after 5 years retired from Oklahoma Spine Hospital. Georgia was a Texan by birth, but a Sooner by choice; she loved Texas dirt and Sooner Football. She was a very strong Christian lady who enjoyed working, taking care of her family and reaching out to others.

She was preceded in death by:
• Her parents, J.B. and Lillie Mae Guthrie;
• Husband, Jim Hughes, Sr.;
• And brother, G.W. Guthrie.

Survivors include:
• Her sons, Jimmy Hughes and wife Charlene, and Jim Lynn and wife Mary;
• Daughter, Melody Hughes;
• Sister, Ruby Hutto and husband Curtis;
• 5 grandchildren: James Michael Hughes, Christine Michelle Burguard, Christina Francis, Eric Peters, and Danielle Seeds;
• 9 great grandchildren, Avery, Abigail, Cadence, Abbigail, Shannon Leigh, Daena Marie, Sean Raymond, Jessica Anne and Skyler;
• 4 great great grandchildren, Chandler William, Karma Leigh, Issac Anthony and Jackson Chase;
• As well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
