Gerry Newton Blankenship entered into heavens gates and was reunited with family and friends on March 25, 2015. Gerry was born on Oct. 31, 1957 in Woodward, OK. He was raised in Pauls Valley, and graduated high school in 1975. He lived in Oklahoma City and worked for OGE/Enogex/Enable Midstream Partners for 27 years. He attended Life Church, loved to spend time with his family and friends, and enjoyed playing golf and cheering on OU football and the Thunder. He was lovingly known as husband, dad, poppy, brother, and friend.

He regretfully left behind his wife, Kathy, Joshua Blankenship his son and Stephen and Candice Berschauer, his son and daughter-in-law, and Caleb his grandson. He is survived by his sister, Toni Livingston, her husband Jeff, his nephew Caleb Livingston, and niece Molly Livingston of Pauls Valley, OK and by his brother Darryl Blankenship, of Pauls Valley, OK; as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Ramona Blankenship.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 30 at the Vondel Smith Mortuary North Chapel, 13125 N MacArthur Blvd., Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery located at 7801 NW Expressway.
