Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Glen Edward (Eddie) Hacker, who passed away on Monday, January 24th, 2022 surrounded by his family. Glen was born on December 29th, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Glen and Marguerite (Severs) Hacker. He grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Southeast High School in 1968. This is where he met Beth, his high school sweetheart and future wife of 54 years.

Glen's work ethic and dedication to his clients was extremely important to him and he balked at anyone who suggested that it was time for him to retire. Because of his maturity and intelligence, he actually began his career in bookkeeping and tax services while taking college classes at just 18 years of age. He then began working in the oil and gas industry and did so for many years until he started his own bookkeeping and tax services company, Hacker Business Services, Inc.

He devoted the next 35 years with help from "the girls" in providing clients with tax services. Because of quarterly and annual deadlines, everyone in the family knew not to "bother" him when it was tax season.

Over the course of his life, he never met a stranger and formed lifelong friendships along the way, many of which spanned over 50 years. From his days of playing basketball at the Southside YMCA to his current "'breakfast club" outings every morning, he enjoyed the time he spent with his multitude of friends.

When he wasn't at the office, you could find him on the golf course, at the pasture, attending church or traveling. "Papa '' loved taking his grandkids fishing, hunting and golfing with him. He looked forward to attending church services, hearing the gospel and being immersed in the heart-warming music of the church. He enjoyed going to see U.S. landmarks, playing golf in different states and attending the 2018 Masters at Augusta, Georgia. He also made sure that he was able to attend all of his kids and grandkids sporting events.

He will truly be missed by all that knew him and remembered by his words of advice to his family such as "keep a low profile" as we left the house, "keep your head down" while we were golfing and when to "shut er down" while one of us was driving.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Marguerite Hacker and his brother, Gerald E. Hacker.

He is survived by his wife, Beth Hacker;

daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and JD Stewart;

son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Angie Hacker; daughter and son-in-law

Rohn and Kimberly Fenity;

grandchildren Macey Green, Abigail Hacker, Brayden Fenity and Logan Fenity;
