Glenda Rae Nation, beloved wife, sister, and friend, went to be with her heavenly Father on October 25, 2026.
Glenda was born on December 21, 1957, in Norman, Oklahoma, to Don and Naomi Franks. As the daughter of a career U.S. Air Force officer, her early life was a journey of adventure. The family moved frequently to serve their country, taking Glenda to Wyoming, Nebraska, South Dakota, Virginia, and even overseas to Turkey. A dedicated student, she graduated as the valedictorian of Tabb High School in Yorktown, Virginia. The family eventually returned to their roots in Oklahoma, where Glenda graduated from the University of Oklahoma and went on to build a proud, accomplished career as a Medical Technologist.
In 1988, Glenda married the love of her life, Mike Nation. Together, they shared 38 beautiful years of marriage, building homes and making lasting memories in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Denver.
Glenda’s life was deeply rooted in her faith. A devout member of Crossings Community Church, she loved the Lord and was a dedicated participant in many Bible studies. She quietly and powerfully demonstrated her faith every day through her boundless kindness, generosity, and compassion.
A beautiful person inside and out, Glenda had a caring heart that embraced everyone she met. She found great joy in the outdoors, whether she was snow skiing or traveling to the mountains and the beach. Closer to home, she loved reading, staying active in her swim class, and giving back through volunteering. She had a profound passion for horses, which shone brightly during her volunteer days at Willow Ranch Equine Therapy. She held an equal passion for her and Mike's beloved Labrador Retrievers, who kept their home filled with endless joy and beautiful mayhem.
Glenda was preceded in death by her loving parents, Don and Naomi Franks.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Mike; her sister, Vickie Stout; her brother, Shawn Franks; her brother-in-law, Rick Petticrew; and a large, loving circle of cousins, nieces, and dear friends.
Glenda will be greatly missed, but her beautiful memory and compassionate spirit will live forever in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Willow Ranch Equine Assisted Counseling or the Arthritis Foundation in Glenda Nation’s memory.
Flowers are still welcome.
