Services to celebrate Suzanne will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Church of the Servant (14343 N. MacArthur Blvd)
Glenna "Suzanne" Wilson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025 at the age of 81.
She was born on October 19, 1943 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to her parents, Gordon & Willella Abel. Suzanne was raised in Shawnee, OK and was a graduate of Shawnee High School. She earned a Bachelor's degree from Central State University (UCO) and followed her dreams of educating children in the music arts.
Teaching music was her passion, and she was able to serve as the Music Director at Putnam City for 40 years and truly loved all of the children that she impacted. She married and was blessed with two daughters, Renée and Darlene. She later married Warren Wilson and the family was expanded with his children Bob, Scott and Lori. She provided an abundance of love and affection to all.
Suzanne, a faithful follower of Christ, was a longtime member of the Church of the Servant, where she performed with the orchestra and choir for 25 years. She was an accomplished pianist, providing inspiration to others by sharing that gift.
She enjoyed traveling nationally and internationally with her beloved Warren. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. Her kind spirit will live on in the lives of those she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willella and Gordon Abel, her brother Kevin Abel & son Robert Wilson.
She is survived by her husband Warren Wilson; her daughters Renee Suwanski & husband Jerry; Darlene Fisher & husband Roddy, daughter Lori Paige & husband Brandon; son Scott Wilson & wife Stephanie; grandchildren Clair Sholly & husband Ben; Michael Dake; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends!
