IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gregory Wayne
Mowdy
March 28, 1970 – September 13, 2023
Gregory Wayne Mowdy was born March 28, 1970 in Beesville, Texas. He completed this life
at his home in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the age of 53.
Greg graduated from El Reno High School. He worked as an exterminator for Best
Exterminators.
Greg married Carly Lynn Clarey-Casler on March 1, 2008. They have made their home in
Oklahoma City with their children.
Greg is survived by his wife, Carly; his son, Benjamin Casler; his mother-in-law, Karen
Campbell; his sister-in-law, Carrie Mallard and her husband Ty, niece Morgan Mallard and
nephew Riley Mallard; his aunt, Jeannie Standfell and his cousins, Cassie Rollyson and Scott.
Greg is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Gayle Mowdy; his daughter, Kelsey Casler; and
his brother, Christopher Shane Mowdy.
Greg had a deep love of baseball; he grew up playing for El Reno and the St Louis Cardinals
did not have a bigger fan. He was passionate about OU football and loved spending Saturdays
cheering them on.
Greg was a protector. If you were a part of his circle, you had a true friend in him; he would
drop anything to help one of his. Greg was a great storyteller. He would spend hours in
conversation telling of his baseball years, his time with his grandparents and sharing little
known facts.
Greg never met a stranger. He always had a smile ready, and his kindness knew no bounds.
Greg will be missed by so many. His passing has been deeply felt by those that loved him.
Surely, there will never be another Greggor and his friends and family are better because he was
a part of their lives.
A celebration of life will be held at The Greens Country Club in OKC, Friday September 22 nd ,
at 2pm. Following that, there will be more celebration at The Mill bar in OKC.
